Standard

The Standard is the category one tier above Economy. Same screened-wall design, same connection to the rainforest — but with more space, a more comfortable finish, and recently renovated interiors. All Standard rooms share the same layout; only the bed configuration changes: either one king bed (max 2 guests), or two queen beds (2 adults + 2 children, or up to 4 adults sharing). Pick the setup that fits your party.

Screened, by design

The screened walls keep insects outside and let the sounds of the rainforest and the canals in. Rainforest soundtrack at night, not city-hotel silence — by design. We mention it on every room page because it’s the single most common surprise for guests on their first night.

Other considerations

• Ceiling fan in every room. No air conditioning in this category.
• In-room safety deposit box.
• Bathroom amenities include liquid soap and biodegradable shampoo, handcrafted on our Caribbean coast.
• All rooms are non-smoking.
• Roll-away beds are not available — pick the bed configuration that fits your party at booking.
• 110-volt electricity (two-prong outlets).
• Hair dryer available at reception on request.

Floors made from bottle caps

The bathroom floors in our Standard rooms are cast from recycled plastic bottle caps mixed with cement — a small ongoing sustainability project we’ve been extending to hallway stretches and the entrances of select rooms across the lodge.
