Economy

The Economy is our most basic category — the right choice when budget matters more than extra space or upgraded finishes. All Economy rooms share the same layout; the only thing that changes is the bed configuration: either one king bed, or one queen plus one single bed (max 3 guests in the second configuration). They are not customised one from another — pick the bed setup that fits your party and book.

A different kind of room — by design

The screened design of these rooms keeps insects outside while letting you stay connected to the sounds and atmosphere of the rainforest and canals that surround us. This is a deliberately different experience from a traditional city hotel — expect a rainforest soundtrack at night, not double-glazed silence. If you are looking for a sealed, air-conditioned box, the Economy is not for you. If you came to Tortuguero to hear Tortuguero, you are in the right place.

Other considerations

• Every room has a ceiling fan. There is no air conditioning in this category — the screened walls and canopy keep things cool.
• In-room safety deposit box.
• Bathroom amenities include liquid soap and biodegradable shampoo, handcrafted on our Caribbean coast.
• All rooms are non-smoking.
• Roll-away beds are not available — please choose the configuration that fits your party at booking.
• 110-volt electricity (two-prong outlets).
• Hair dryer available at reception on request.
